Calvin Ramsay, the right-back for Liverpool, will be joining Preston North End, a Championship club, on a season-long loan. Ramsay, who joined Liverpool from Aberdeen in June 2022, faced setbacks due to injuries, which restricted his playing time to only two appearances during the previous season.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Ramsay stated, “The Championship is a highly competitive league, and my primary focus is to secure regular playing time. I am thrilled to be joining a reputable club like Preston North End, and I am eagerly looking forward to commencing my time with them.” Soon after Ramsay’s transfer to Liverpool, he encountered a back issue that hindered his availability on the field. Subsequently, he underwent surgery in February, which effectively ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Ramsay made his two appearances for Liverpool against Napoli and Derby County in November. In the UEFA Champions League group stage, he entered the match as a substitute against Napoli, contributing to Liverpool’s victory. Additionally, he started in the Carabao Cup clash against Derby County, wherein Liverpool emerged victorious in a penalty shootout.
Furthermore, Ramsay achieved another milestone by earning his first international cap for Scotland when he debuted against Turkey in November.
