Leighton Clarkson, the midfielder, is leaving Liverpool Football Club after spending his entire career with the team. He joined the club at the young age of six and progressed through the Academy ranks. During his time with Liverpool, he had the opportunity to make three appearances with the senior team.

Clarkson’s first appearance came in December 2019 when he made a substitute appearance in the League Cup quarter-final against Aston Villa. Two months later, he started in the FA Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town at Anfield. In December 2020, under the guidance of manager Jürgen Klopp, he made his debut in the UEFA Champions League, starting in the group-stage match against FC Midtjylland.

After a temporary stint with Blackburn Rovers, the 21-year-old midfielder spent the previous season on loan with Aberdeen, a Scottish Premiership side. During his loan spell, he made 38 appearances and scored six goals, gaining valuable experience.

Today, it has been finalized that Clarkson will make a permanent move to Aberdeen, as he has completed his transfer to the club. The Liverpool FC community wishes Leighton the best of luck in his future endeavors.
